Bob is a local boy who started working in tourism in Waikiki before Hawaii gained Statehood in 1959.

In THE early 1960'S, he served as First mate on the Barkentine California, a tall ship that sailed from Kewalo Basin to Diamond Head nightly.

Bob is currently Chairman of the Board for Waikiki Beach Activities and he has been active at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel since 1990.

Waikiki Beach Activities provides Hilton with beach boys, the catamaran, surf school and manages, Duke Kahanamoku Beach and Duke's Lagoon.
